CYOF the BYOB of Gardening
The Drink Wisconsinbly Week in Review Editorial Board has a reputation for being a rather rough and tumble operation. With its regular output of articles on topics such as beer drinking, ice fishing, and meat eating, it’s natural to imagine it as the organizational equivalent of Dalton from Roadhouse driving a forklift through the wall of a bait shop. But don’t let that image of testosterone, flannel, and abs fool you; the DWWIREB has a softer side.
As proof, we offer OneEighty Petals. The undisputed champion of cut-your-own flower farms in Door County.
It’s run by the husband and wife florist team of John and Sara Lancaster, who set out to provide a source for sustainably-grown flowers to the area.
Beautiful? You better believe it.
Fragrant? It’s like something out of a dream. Or a drug store perfume aisle.
Enchanting? That’s for you to decide. But you may want to bring a pen and pad because there’s a good chance you’ll be inspired to write a poem.
You can stop by OneEighty Petals and grab a bouquet to go, or you can schedule an appointment to create your own arrangement. It’s open from mid-July through September. Visit their website to learn more and to see why it gets their Drink Wisconsinbly Week in Review Editorial Board Sensitive Side Seal of Approval.
