Unstoppable Holiday Cheer
We're not privy to the setlist, but we're going to go ahead and assume there will be a healthy dose of holiday standards.
Every year, the holiday season comes thundering back like a runaway freight train. It’s big, loud, and powerful, with bells and flashing lights everywhere. If you dared try to stop it, you’d end up a tangled mess, covered in tinsel, egg nog, and broken shards of decorative pinecones.
In related news, an actual holiday locomotive will be rolling through Wisconsin soon. The Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern Holiday Train will be spreading cheer, hosting live music, and raising money for area food banks next week.
The festive train will make 13 stops over three days, with a cargo car serving as a stage and featuring performances by Tenille Townes and Breland. We’re not privy to the setlist, but we’re going to go ahead and assume there will be a healthy dose of holiday standards.
The event is free, and guests are encouraged to bring food and cash donations to help those in the community who are in need.
The metaphorical holiday train is coming whether you like it or not, so you might as well lean into it when the real train pulls into your town. Check the schedule and forecast, and then plan accordingly. Conductors in movies are always going on about punctuality, but this is real life, so you might want to use these arrival times as a loose guideline.
