DW Pub Gets Late Show Shout Out
The talk show host noted that DW Pub is on a list of Official Watch Party sites and then had fun with the name "Drink Wisconsinbly" in relation to Brew City's fondness for well, brews.
Andy Warhol once said that everybody will be famous for 15 minutes. If that’s true, Drink Wisconsinbly Pub used up around 49 seconds of its allotted time in the spotlight earlier this week.
Its big moment came when it was mentioned during the monologue on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. With the RNC happening across the Deer District at the Fiserv Forum, the talk show host noted that DW Pub is on a list of Official Watch Party sites and then had fun with the name “Drink Wisconsinbly” in relation to Brew City’s fondness for well, brews.
While our Brandy, Vodka, canned Old Fashioneds, and new Vodka Cocktails are only available in Wisconsin, The Drink Wisconsinbly cinematic universe has no physical boundaries. It extends anywhere people can go and/or wear a t-shirt. That said, it’s primarily concentrated close to home, and our ethos might not immediately track for somebody living in as far away as New York City, so we want to help you understand what it’s all about.
You see, Stephen, Drink Wisconsinbly is more of a state of mind. And, yes, it often involves the state of one’s drink-holdin’ hand, but it doesn’t necessarily have to. Living the Drink Wisconsinbly lifestyle is about kinship, community, and celebrating life here in the best state in the Union. Our fancy-pants marketing lady calls it “conviviality,” but it’s simply a commitment to having a good time with great people.
And since we’re confident you, Stephen Colbert, are a subscriber to the Drink Wisconsinbly Week in Review, we want to invite you to join us at Drink Wisconsinbly Pub and experience our special brand of Dairyland joie de vivre for yourself.
As our guest, you will enjoy a shopping spree in our Pub Shop, so you’re able to blend in with the locals. We’ll also provide you with an open bar tab because Drink Wisconsinibly isn’t that much of a state of mind. You’ll still want to be social.
We suggest visiting during our annual Curd Fest or perhaps a Packers game, but we know you’re busy. The offer stands whenever you can find a free day in your schedule.
And, just as an FYI, it’s probably a good idea to block off the next morning, too.
***BREAKING***
The DW Pub’s time in the national spotlight continued on Friday morning. Fox & Friends closed out their week in Milwaukee by stopping by to sample from a spread of Wisconsin delicacies. Our guy Andy walked them through some popular local favorites like a Kringle, cheese curds, bratwurst, and cannibal sandwiches. Nobody had any Brandy though, so they clearly weren’t fully committed to the segment.
