Nowhere in the Drink Wisconsinbly bylaws does it say you must consume alcohol to Drink Wisconsinbly. You can drink whatever you like as long as you do it with that certain je ne sais quoi that only us Wisconsinites possess.

For people who don’t partake, the outdoorsy type, and those poor souls who are dehydrated from the previous night’s activities, there’s an artesian well in rural Fond du Lac County that offers water unlike any that comes from a tap.

It’s one of many artesian wells that populate the state. They’re a source of fresh, cold water flowing from the ground.

This particular well is alongside a secluded roadway under a dilapidated shack. The best part is it only costs 25 cents.

As we all know, the prices for bottled water can be astonishing, especially if you’ve found yourself a little parched at a ballgame or an airport. So this is a real value to those who come equipped with extra bottles to fill up for later.

And don’t worry nervous types; the DNR tests the spring annually. So despite the well’s rustic appearance, there shouldn’t be any waterborne surprises like when you drink the agua in exotic locales.

The artesian well is located at 7138 Triple T Road near Mount Calvary in the town of Forest. It’s run on the honor system, but be cool and bring those quarters. Don’t be afraid to give ’em a few extra and maybe they can spruce up the shack a bit.
